Find me a Fendi
Posted by kim on February 4, 2008
Fendi was founded by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in a small shop in Rome, Italy, in 1925 and has grown to create over 1000 variations of Fendi bags, ranging from hundreds of dollars cost to thousands of dollars cost! My dream is to some day own a Fendi Hobo Bag… Or a Fendi Spy Bag… Or a Fendi Tote… Or maybe some Fendi Shoes… ok, anything Fendi!
The distinctive Fendi Baguette was designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, granddaughter of Adele and Edoardo Fendi, made famous by Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City (ie “I’m homeless! I’ll be a bag lady. A Fendi bag lady, but a bag lady!”), and is now celebrating its 10th anniversary. Elle magazine reported that Fendi will celebrate its tenth anniversary with a new limited edition “Fendi Baguette 10th Anniversary - Our Daily Bread”. The “all-white canvas bag that comes complete with 10 Pantone markers for personalizing, and quilted leather versions in each of those 10 shades.” The bag was named “baguette” as its shape resembles a French baguette (a variety of bread). Plus Fendi is famous for their exclusivity that once a Baguette style runs out there are no repeats made! Thus an investment if you ask me. Therefore, I’m saving my pennies (ok, dollars)!
